Not scared of winter anymore! 21.03.2011

On the First Day of Spring, with a little help from their parents, the children made as many as four Marzannas (Straw Effigies Representing Winter). It is clear that children shall remember well the winter passed as Marzannas were truly phenomenal and ecological. In spite of their impressive size, they floated to the sea, down the stream running through our kindergarten grounds.

The children and parents said goodbye to winter shouting: "Huffs and puffs! Huffs and puffs! Go away Evil Winter!", and then, singing songs about spring, on they went to look for the first signs of it!
